of course you can!! I saw a tutorial a long time ago that said to double up your downstrokes on letters, so that's my "secret" to making pseudo-calligraphy/cursive lol. I freehanded the letters from fonts I found on Pinterest.
for specifics, I used Chalk Ink brand chisel tip markers. for "Beautiful Moments," "Everyone" and "Happy/Appreciated" I wrote the initial letters with the thinnest tip of the marker and then, as said above, doubled the downstrokes and then filled them in. I didn't want "each other" & "our community" to look exactly the same so instead of thickening the downstrokes, I went over all the letters again, but rotated my pen so I was using the widest part for the second layer and it would resemble handwriting more than calligraphy. practicing on paper often definitely helps too!
