Most times Karens complain it takes too long for their drink to be ready. Let me tell you: it's never right with a Karen. I was sick of her complaining so I made her drink super fast (I new her order). Her response: 'Wow that was fast, this must be poor quality cause normally it takes much longer!'(self.starbucksbaristas)

And then without tasting she asked me to remake it. I told her to taste it first. She then did and walked out the store. Whyyy Karen, can't you just appreciate things the way they are...

I just found this sub, former partner here. We had one lady who would ask for her drink to be remade EVERY morning. One morning, one of my coworkers took her drink with a smile, brought it over to my bar, chatted with me a minute, changed the lid and brought it back to her. She said it was perfect! I died laughing.

We had one of those too! She wouldn’t even taste it and would say it was wrong. It was either “too light so there’s too much foam” or “I can smell that you put too many stevia in it” or “it looks like this was made with 2% not nonfat” so we always made her drink TWICE in advance because she would always make sure she saw the original get dumped out and that she got a brand new one. It was always made the EXACT same way and was right on the second try.

Haha Ive done this a few times too. Or make a different drink while letting hers set so it looks like you’re making hers.

It’s weird how they want their drinks right away, but complain when it comes out “too fast.”
Like wtf

Same applies to how they feel about the vaccine...

Remember that Karen’s are just women who hate their own lives and can’t be satisfied any other way other than making others hate their lives too. It’s never you. It’s them.

There used to be a regular at my store who always asked for her drink to be remade every morning. So one day I stopped making her mobile order and when she got there I’d let her know it would be ready in just a minute, and then make her order in front of her. She didn’t complain that day and then she asked why her order was never ready so I told her straight up I was tired of remaking it every day so I’d rather have her watch me so “she knew it was right” she stopped complaining after that 🤷🏻♀️

It gives them more satisfaction when their drink is handed off with our obligatory customer service apologies.
My favorite was one time I was making an iced Chai, with sugar free vanilla. I added the sfv and the chai and moved on to the milk and ice, and when I went to hand it off I was immediately given shit for not putting in the sugar free vanilla. And I told her I added it as nicely as humanly possible. But when she disregarded that and demanded I added the syrup, I said alright and added it a second time LOL
She just walked out without saying anything of course

Had a lady named "Temple" yes her name is Temple. She straight up told me that "It looks like you and your coworkers are having too much fun. You should stop." Uhhhh you should mind your own damn business and drink your fucking coffee 🙃

“How dare you enjoy your life! I’m miserable at my job! You should be too! Reeee”

My response , “I literally just heard what you ordered” Like you took 50 years to order so I’m caught up on the bar lady.

The sad thing is that ultimately her pattern of poor behavior has been rewarded...even if unacknowledged and unappreciated. The cycle continues.

There is a comment “I’m not happy unless I’m complaining “. That’s why. Chronic personality disorder.

I find them to mostly be "low power control freaks", nothing is ever good enough.
