how do i work for a different store ? (self.starbucksbaristas)

i’m a green beannnn /: but ive been working for 3 weeks already and i’m kinda good at DTO/DTR and started going on bar more often, but my store just closed because they had a case of covid on floor and so i’m bored at home and was wondering how i could work for a different store while we reopen again because i rlly want to keep on learning. thanks!!

yes /: i was exposed but i just tested negative but i wanna work for a different store while i wait for mine to reopen

So, unfortunately you cannot work for another store. You have to self isolate for the ten day/two week period. Even though you tested negative, the virus has an incubation period. You could still come down with it.

okay! thank you so much:)) i been so bored LOL so i was wondering if i could and this clarified it so thank u! i was also wondering how it’s like when u cover another store? like do u just go in and ask a shift lead where they need you or?

So my store closed down and they gave us the option to work for another store if we wanted to. I chose to stay home even though I wasn’t exposed because I didn’t want to risk it. We just told our SM if we wanted to work for another store and they’d get in contact with the SM of the other store to see if they needed us & when.

I believe they actually amended their guidelines. If you test negative and are willing to show documentation, you can return to work at another store after 48hours. I’d speak to your manager about seeing if they need help at other stores.
