Cold foam for one (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Cbrew2020
How many pumps of vanilla would you add to 110 ml of HC and 50 ml of 2% to make foam for one drink? And are yall using heavy whipping or just heavy cream? There's a slight difference in the two ive noticed...

I’m confused because we usually make a big batch of cold foam and then foam it up for one drink. If that makes sense

Sometimes we run out and have to do foam for one or two drinks... 😵

If this is the case, us a steaming pitcher to measure. 13 pumps vanilla (? Can someone confirm it's been a minute), 2% to the tall line, HC to the max line. Should be good for a couple of drinks in an emergency.

Does it make a great difference if you fill the pitcher to 100 ml, 150 ml, or 200 ml for the sweet cream to come out to a good consistency?

I usually just make sure the blade is covered, but I think it's supposed to be 150 either way. I usually pour 300 to double batch, but that's not standard.

I don’t know that there are individual measurements for just one drink. I would definitely do it in the steaming pitcher real quick (like mentioned above) and get a couple of uses out of it

Do you know the ml measurements of the steaming pitcher?
Lover-of-lattes 1 points 2y ago
Ahhh I don’t. You might assume it’s a lil less than the size of that drink. So if it’s HC to the second line, the second line is for grande and might be around 12-16 ounces. I would assume it’s under 16 because milk foams. Idk if that makes sense lol I would base my measurement off of that

I just do one pump of any syrup to 50ml when making foam.

The 2 liter recipe is 1 liter of HC, 350 ml vanilla, and 600 ml 2%. Your ratio of HC to 2% is off. For the sake of round numbers, try 85 ml HC, 50 ml 2%, and 30 ml vanilla.

Thanks.. So that's about 3 pumps vanilla.. What brand of heavy cream are you using? Also is it heavy whipping or just plain heavy cream? We have the orange heavy cream container in a carton.. I think they produce different results.

They're essentially the same thing. I know some brands (like Kroger) have both for some reason, but for most brands it's labelled as one or the other.

Heavy cream is 35% fat cream ... also known as whipping cream
