Establish pars if your store hasn't. It's honestly so much easier. No thought, just "Oh, we need 5? We have 4? Order."
Also, something I screw up regularly, check the upcoming week for holidays/promos. I know we don't sell food Christmas week. I know meatless monday is on monday. That all flies out of my brain the moment I go into order auto-pilot unless I specifically slow down and ask "are there any events, do I need to adjust for it?" of myself first.

I like to separate it into sections based on where things are in back of house, then move onto stuff where I use Food Management on IMS, and save milks for last! Just don’t forget your carryover numbers if you have fresh deliveries of food
