Remind yourself it’s just coffee, they can wait & don’t let them rush you. That said, don’t let them walk all over you either. Some customers really enjoy bullying retail workers, and it’s just because they’re dissatisfied with something in their own lives.

Coffee isn’t worth your sanity, and they probably won’t even remember what they were pissed about in an hour, so you shouldn’t let it ruin your day just because they chose to be a jerk, when you know yourself and how well you do your job.

I would just say to take a deep breath and remember that your shift will end and this won’t last forever. Then you have the rest of the time to decompress and let go of that anger.

Be as professional and bold as you can be. Keep your chin up and do not look bothered. Stooping down their level will give them satisfaction. Some might be regulars but you will only interact with them for a very brief time. Get them what they need and get them out.
