there was a morning shift, mid, and evening!
only shifts held 8 hour shifts.
morning would be 4:30-11 maybe 12
mids would come in around 10:30-11 so the morning shift was able to run lunch breaks on time and with ease
and the same thing would happen for night shifts but i dont exactly remember what times since i was pretty exclusive to mornings
it was really great and a lot less stressful because you weren't on the floor for that long. i guess it was different from store to store, but that's how it was in our district before covid changed it😅

Oh. Yeah that’s definitely a decision made at your district level. I’ve been working 8 hour shifts as a barista for years.

What do you mean? The schedule at your store entirely depends on the hours your store is open and also how your manager chooses to schedule people. Talk to your manager if you need to change your availability to something different.
