Transferring maybe idk anxiety (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has any tips for transferring store like how to know for sure if u should and any advice on actually transferring. I currently work at a Store that has a DT and i’m thinking abt transferring to a Cafe since they won’t work my hours and i’m in school . I’m tired of closing for all of my shifts we close at 10 so by the time i’m home it’s almost 11 and to do homework and by the time i’m fine it’s 1-2 am so it gets tiring but i also normally don’t go in until 6 so yeah I have a few hours to do stuff after school but i’m not sure yet . The cafe store closes at 8 weekdays and weekends 7 so it works perfect I don’t mind closing all the time for that store just it’s way smaller and meeting new people all over again kind of freaks me out i’m still adjusting to my store and i’ve been there for 5 mine so idk . Anything helps

Cafe stores > DT stores. Cafe stores tend go follow routines better though they tend to be bare bones in terms of staffing so youll be multitasking your whole shift.

Cafe stores scare me for the main reason of there’s usually only 2-3 partners working at a time. I love DT bc they’re fully staffed the the shifts seem to fly by. Let your manager know you want to transfer and then contact the store you’d like to transfer to.
Your managers should communicate with each other and you should be golden.
It’s up to you to call the store you want and get into contact with the manager tho
