I put in my letter of resignation two weeks ago and tomorrow I have my last shift. I don't know if my managers gonna be there to help me, so what am I expected to do?
Should I keep my partner number on the slight chance I'd return? Do I need to uninstall the hub and the teamworks app right away? And should I return my Pride and BLM shirts or are those mine to keep?
I loved working at starbucks with my fellow baristas for the last year, but it's the last place I can imagine going up the corporate ladder, especially after reading all the stories here.
Also I have not felt respected enough as a barista with autism, and I'm not able to wait until the company's more accommodating for people like me. For all the progressive talk on third place discussions, I found the lack of talk around neurodiversity appalling.
Also I was starting to get a more cult-ish vibe from sbux the longer I worked there. The coffee tastings were akin to communion, the training videos (especially the cop/blm ones) felt like propaganda, and the expectations were so difficult to reach. Anyone else get that vibe?
