Tip: to save time at my store we get the hot water from the coffee station in a steaming pitcher and combine it with the lemonade and steam the two together. It steams way faster because the hot water is already 200 degrees and while it steams you put the bags in the cup.

This may not be a popular statement, but I sometimes do the same with chais if I’m in a hurry.
Not hot water though, as I don’t want to potentially spoil the milk.
But I’ll do half cold water and half milk and steam it.

I thought they were different in a sense. If someone orders a "medicine bal"l then I was trained to add peppermint syrup as well as honey. If someone order a "honey citrus mint" then it is just honey.

Something related to the old recipe before the new name?

I was told that we’re not allowed to call it the “medicine ball” because we legally can’t. I think they said we could get sued? My SM said that people could sue us bc it doesn’t contain any actual medicine and can’t cure any sickness. This is just what I was told so I’m not sure

We legally can not because it gives the false impression that it’s medication. Same reason why we can’t call it the cold buster.

Oh wow. I mean, I don't think anyone at my store has ever actually called it one, we just ring it in as a HCM. But never thought of legal hell being brought upon us, makes sense though.

Haven't had a single complaint in my year with the company. A lot of return customers getting it consistently also.

Does the peppermint throw something off in it? I'll admit I have only had it once when I started, can't remember it's taste all to well.

From my time working at a Starbucks(licensed and then corporate store) medicine ball/HCMT comes with the thicc honey before they want us to us the liquid honey. Some customers/partners sometimes would rather have peppermint instead of honey.

time consuming to make. get honey, put two different tea bags, steam lemonade, add hot water halfway. its worse when they ask for honey packets instead of honey blend

^^ this. it’s just time consuming & has so many steps. getting on is fine. getting 10 & having to open 20 tea packets, steam all that lemonade, transfer them all back and forth… it’s just tedious

a lot of stores have tea jars that have opened bags prepped ans ready to be added. maybe talk to your sm about having one prepped so you don’t have to open them
