Customer in DT the other day:
Customer: “I’ll have a vanilla latte. But can you make it iced and not a latte?”
Me: ok so you just want an iced vanilla latte. What else can I get for you?
Customer, very rudely: young lady, I said I wanted it iced but not a latte.
Me, with my patience hanging by a thread: ma’am...a latte is ESPRESSO AND MILK. The word latte DOES NOT mean it is only hot.
Customer, hesitantly: are you sure?
Me, sighing and rolling my eyes: yes ma’am. I’ve been a barista for 4 years. I’m sure... now what size ICED vanilla latte were you wanting today?...
Not sure why people have to be so rude!!!!!!

my favorite thing to do when customers are being stupid is to look up at the security cameras like it’s the office 😂

it kills me how much ppl don’t know what they’re ordering.... like not even for the sake of being a coffee snob, i just really want them to know what they’re paying for. today i made a latte for someone and she made me fill a whole separate cup with foam because there was too much liquid and i was like oh so its easier to order next time, just ask for a cappuccino! and she was just like “that’s not the same thing at all, everyone else makes my drink right!” like.....

people really just make up their own definitions for latte i stg. a "mocha latte" is not a thing.... it's a cafe mocha. "can i get a caramel ribbon crunch but can you make it a latte?" What does that even mean?!? fml
