Fridays, am I right? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by acelestialgay
Our peak this morning was hell. We were down two people, on top of it just being more people in than our usual Friday morning rush.

Had the entire box of travelers fall on me, had to then make a traveler while the customer who ordered it kept bugging because she showed up five minutes after we got the sticker and it wasn’t totally done (I had a long line, and Karens everywhere).

Had to refund a customer who proceeds to get mad at me when I ask her to tell me what her drink was, because “why do I have to do this, just refund me, you already know what my drink was, I’m going to be late this is ridiculous!” (ma’am, I had twenty people order after you, I genuinely don’t remember every detail of your stupid freaking iced coffee) as if she didn’t CHOOSE to order her drink while we are visibly rushing and backed up on drinks.

My shift also happened to end with someone buying EIGHTY ONE GIFT CARDS. EIGHTY ONE!! Which was a nightmare in and of itself. There’s a dud in there somewhere but I have no idea which card it is. Nightmare.

So ofc my night ends with me finding a freaking traveler cap in my bra, as I’m getting ready to go to bed and start it all over again tomorrow at five in the morning.

I absolutely can’t stand it when people march up to the register all mad and say “where are my drinks?!?! i have to be at work in FIVE MINUTES!” like literally nobody made you walk in here ten minutes until you have to be at your job and order half the menu after seeing 15+ people waiting on their own orders.
