If you’re in block shifting, it’s to decrease contact between partners, and they aren’t supposed to allow covering other stores.

However, at my store we had a partner have Covid and come back to work while still symptomatic, so Starbucks clearly is okay with us dying

that IS SO fucked up, i don’t get block scheduling because the rules bend when it comes down to my SM or other shifts needing coverage or other people so it’s useless bc we all have contact with each other either way lol block scheduling is stupid and just a decrease in hours tbh /: i wanna ask for more hours for more experience but it’s probably inconsiderate being here for only 1 month

I have covered multiple stores since COVID started. If your DM is okay with it, ask. It won’t hurt to try.

do u think it would be ok to cover multiple stores even if im just a month / a month and a half in?

If you are confident in your abilities, yes. One of the stores I covered does nothing like my home store.

I have the same question, but I'm 2 weeks in
luvhen 1 points 2y ago
how is it for u?

So far I love my crew and the customers haven't been too terrible. Our store is slow rn bc we're on a college campus and the students are all still on break, so that's given me a chance to learn POS comfortable. I'm terrified to work my first bar shift tho

u’ll DEFINITELY be fine when u hit bar! just remember a lot of it is just repetition and like u just need to know how many of the stuff goes into the cup LOL i worked official time on bar this week and partners will be there to help! just rmbr to sequence too!

Thank you!! I'll def work on sequencing properly. I've been studying quizlets of the diff recipes and such 😂
