ANNOYING BARISTAS (self.starbucksbaristas)

Anybody else has baristas from other stores that just come to your store and give you the HARDEST time ever?!
Exhibit A: I was on reg and didn’t notice we had run out of salt toppings until after her drink was ready ( she ordered a salted caramel mocha) and I asked her if we could sub the topping out and she said NO because I should have said something before she ordered her drink and now she wanted to change her whole drink AND get an even exchange for her next drink (of like 20 cents). then continued to be super loud in the lobby about how this store doesn’t have sh*t and how dumb the baristas are here.
Exhibit B: my store is cafe/mobile/Uber and she sees were super backed up as we have about 20 people waiting outside for their drinks. She orders the most complicated cold brew with salted cold foam (and don’t forget she also wanted 3 different syrups inside of the cold foam, and then complained that it didn’t taste like how she makes it at her own store
Sb: not complaining about my job, but as baristas we should understand how crazy ppls stores can be and just not make it harder for other partners just cause you feel like it .

Having other baristas complain about a drink not tasting the same as their store is beyond annoying. It’s like, come on. We are in this together lol
There was one store that basically sent people to cover all the time. However, the people they sent were so snobby and stuck up. They always believed they were being sent out to help turn things around.... ummm they were being sent out because we had someone call in sick.
We didn’t need a saviour. We needed someone to cover breaks haha.

We have partners from other stores come to ours all the time and they are all equally awful. One partner comes every week to get her markout (ground, of course) but ALWAYS comes through DT when we are super busy, orders her complicated drink (orders it backward no less), and more often than not asks for her markout at the window because she forgot to ask while she was ordering. So then we have cars stacked up behind her while we grind her damn coffee.

We have a barista who comes to our store and while her order isn’t super complicated, she is always very very pushy and rude.
Like furiously trying to scan her stupid peanut butter bar while shouting her drink order at me. When I ask “can I have a name for the drink” because our cafe is super busy she says “no you can’t I have numbers” and then rattles off her numbers super fast while shoving her ID in my face.
The first couple times it happened I assumed she was just in a hurry or late for something but it’s been like 5 times now and she’s always like that. I’m just glad she doesn’t work at my store...
Like damn ok bro I don’t care who you are you’re just being rude at this point. I’m surprised someone who literally works this exact job can be such a jerk as a customer..

we have one that comes through the drive through every other day and makes me (or whoever has the displeasure of taking her order) explain why she can’t get 4 drinks AND 4 food items for free. She buys 5 of each in total, but only gets one food and one drink for free like we all do plus the 30% discount. always makes a huge fuss in DT, makes our times go high, and just overall throws a tantrum because we aren’t giving her everything for free. also “forgets” her ID almost every time. we all know she’s a partner, but i still ask for it.

Ive had some absolutely awful partner customers- one left the sb years ago and watched me on bar with her friend commenting on how I was doing things wrong. Lady the recipies have changed and we're understaffed, dont make me look bad because you apparently never had to improvise or adapt

I had a barista come from another store and try to steam milk in a paper cup. He claimed they did it all the time at his store.

Back when I still worked for the siren, I had a borrowed partner with me on bar. Ngl, he didn't change his sani tray for three hours. No matter how many times I've asked him to change it, he'd shrug it off...

At that point why would she not just make it herself? At my store, if it’s busy and you’re not getting into the way, we just make our own drinks because it makes things easier for everyone working especially during a rush.

Once 15 minutes to close on a Saturday night had a barista for another store come in and order a pour over, drip, clover, and a French press to do a coffee tasting with his friends... 😭
