Hello. Rehire here! When I left Starbucks the first time, I was experiencing burn out and I felt under appreciated by my manager at the time. After taking 6-8 months off and working at another job, I realized it might not have been the job that I hated, but rather the location I was at that I hated. Fast forward to now, I am rehired at a new store with a different manager and a more supportive team of partners and I could not be happier.

Point of my comment is that everyone is different and this job might not be for everyone, but sometimes it’s not the job itself but the environment around you! Hope this helps?

100% agree with this. I left because of a similar situation, burnout, toxic partners, micromanagement. I worked an office job and absolutely hated it and actually missed working at Starbucks. So, I went back a few months ago and got rehired at a different store and it’s worked out so far! I’ve come to learn that the grass isn’t always greener and that every job is going to have its downfalls and bad days but if your coworkers are cool than it helps lol.

I left Starbucks because I had a dm who kept hinting that as a former manager and 17 year partner, I should be giving the new manager, outside hire, did not work as an assistant at all, tips on how to be a manager. I was a shift supervisor. We also had a, let's call it a difference of opinion, about the espesso bar and quality. This was about 12 years ago, so probably totally different bar? Idk. Her standards were way lower than mine as far as shot quality went. I would have transferred, but she wasn't letting anyone transfer from my store at the time. I was thinking about going back recently, but got hired at my first choice. Starbucks was kinda my 2nd choice.

I havent left starbucka but i have quite alot of jobs. I never regret it. But i have been blessed with a good team and a good store manager who cares. So i will say maybe try to transfer rather than flat quit. It may also just be burn out. A new space with new people might help.
