The setting: I’m cafe bar in the middle of peak hustling through mobiles, deliveries, and helping with drive.
Lady comes up to me and asks me how much the bags of Christmas blend are.
Me: I’m honestly not too sure off the top of my head but we can scan it for you at the register and see, if you would like.
Customer (in the snarkiest, rudest voice I have been talked to with to date): well you’re not going to do a good job of selling them if you don’t know how much they are.
It took every fiber of my being to not respond with: “all I know is they cost more than I make in an hour”
It’s probably not as bad as it sounds but it has stuck with me all morning.
UPDATE: about an hour later, the absolute SWEETEST man came in to pick up a mobile order and was like take all the time you need, I’m not in any rush. I wanted to hug him. 🥺

Working at Starbucks makes me want to kill myself I’m not even kidding. I Work at a target Starbucks now coming from a standalone store and it pays 15 an hour which is really good so that’s the only reason I’m staying for the time being but it genuinely makes me hate myself and hate others

100% only here for the health insurance while I finish grad school so I get it. I’ve worked food service for 5 years and starbucks for 1.5 and the customers here have been the worst so far.

I switched to a tarbucks back in November and it is the *only* reason I am still with Starbucks. I no longer have drive thru/Mobil/delivery AND get paid $15. I was dying as a shift supervisor (making way less) for years at my corporate store and honestly, even with the WAY better conditions I’m working with at my new store, it’s still such an all consuming, mentally and physically exhausting job.

Yeah I’m our main closing shift and I am so burnt out from having shit poured on me. Like I don’t understand why people gotta be this way haha

The espresso roast here is $12.95 which is £9.50. I make just under that... I think from what I remember Christmas was something like $15 (I am not sure if there’s currently a promotion) which is £11 :(

We sell ours in pound bags so around 450g. Yeah, I’m an SSV and it’s ridiculous how little we all make 😂
