This happens on a daily for me. It makes communicating with the driver impossible as they are more focused on the face time than the window

yes and it’s the most awkward thing in the world. pls just hang up for one second while you’re in the drive thru for our sake. or when you think they’re talking to you and you respond but they’re actually just talking on the phone 🙄

we had to take a customers phone in because our Apple Pay wasn’t working, and she handed me her phone as she was on FaceTime and so I’m sitting there FaceTiming the dude the whole time?? super uncomfortable, why are you FaceTiming while driving in the first place???

I find that so disrespectful

If I see the customer talking to someone on the phone I purposefully speak louder. Especially if they’re at the box ordering and they’re holding me up trying to finish a conversation (or not, just paying more attention to their phone.) It always works, it always shames them, and they’re usually much nicer driving away, realizing, yeah, maybe they are the problem.
