Does anyone know anything about (or can link me to information) about maternity leave for baristas (PT)?

Call Sedgwick at (877) 728-9236, they will help unlike my DM who said when she got divorced it only motivated her to to work harder..so she’s never taken a leave..and I’m like, how is that information helpful..

Lmao I once had a store manager like that. Called out for a migraine a year ago and she said “I came into work last week when I had a migraine” .... like... ok??? Nobody forced you to, loser. Hahaha

Thank you, I’m going to call once I’m a bit further along. I was really hoping to know how long I get off work, & what pay rate would be or how the configure that. And if it was possible for me to take time off before baby is born, even if I need to use sick hours

You can take up to two weeks before the baby is off as your unpaid nesting time. In 2019-2020 when I went on leave, I got 100% pay for 8 weeks as I had a csection. If you have vaginal, it was only 6. This may have changed since then. Then if you choose to you can have an additional 12 weeks off unpaid. I was off from mid September to mid February but save my tax refund to survive off

One of our store partners came in today to visit. She’s on maternity leave. She said she got either half or 3/4 pay because she had to take her leave early due to complications. Then once she had the baby, she received 6 weeks of full pay (based on her average number of hours worked). Then I think she gets a few extra months off (unpaid) if she want to.
