literally had a lady come through drive thru and she pulls up to the window to pay with a gift card. I grab the scanner to take her payment and her finger is covering the barcode so I tell her “I just need to scan the barcode.” she’s like “well can’t you just grab it?”
I’m like “no ma’am I actually can’t. I just need you to move your finger one inch to scan it.” and she looked so annoyed. I’m literally thinking how hard was it for you to do that. 🙄 not sanitary before or during the covid-19 pandemic 😂

I have no idea why starbucks is still making gift cards without barcodes.

Honestly every credit card company should’ve auto sent out new tap to pay cards to curb card contact as well

Yeah, the only time I take a gift card is if it’s swipe only, so I do my best to have my guests know I can scan without needing to touch the cards
