You may qualify for either medical leave or accommodation leave. I believe you need to have been at Starbucks for a year first for either, but I'm not 100% on that. You'd get more details by calling Sedgwick. They're the company Starbucks uses to manage leaves of absence. If you go on the partner hub, look in Benefits for Time Off, and you'll be able to look through these things.

It depends. You have one unpaid 30 day Personal Leave you can take once every three years. You’re not elligible for unemployment and you can’t use sick time, but you can use vacation and doesn’t require a doctors involvement.
There’s also a Medical LOA which is supplemented with Short Term Disability. That does require a doctor’s involvement.
