we had all but one of our night crew call off (besides the shift of course) so my SM came in 3 hours after she left and was in bad mood. like, i understand nobody wants to come in that soon after such a rough morning but don’t take it out on us. she was especially snappy with me because i wouldn’t stay 4 hours past my shift to help out because i have four major assignments due (i’m in college) TONIGHT and i haven’t even had time to start two because i’ve been working so much this week.

every day we’ve been getting more and more call offs. one girl got into a serious accident and can’t work for two-three weeks to recover, which sucks because that’s one less person on the floor but it also just sucks in general because a partner is hurt :/ half of the HS kids are late every shift they work and also call my SM 15-30 mins before their shift starts and somehow get approved to come in 2-3 hours late at such late notice??? it makes no sense but my store is struggling HARD right now because every other store around us keeps closing because of fucking covid. they’re literally open a week and then they have to close again, every single time.

I’m exhausted and tired of being scheduled out of my availability and being harassed to come in early/stay late because other people don’t feel like coming to work (i’ve heard the reasons they call off- and half of them 100% could still come in. i see them hanging out with friends on snapchat an hour later after they call the store. SM knows, doesn’t care)
