Starting next week... (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by HonchosRevenge
I’m starting my first on Monday, as a shift supervisor, but I’ll be training as a Barista first and foremost. Anything I should know? Any helpful tips? I have food industry management experience but regardless I’m extremely nervous for my first day. Any helpful tips to ease my nerves are greatly appreciated!

Ask tons of questions, ensure you have clarity on all subjects. There is a lot to know, even more for shifts, especially as things change frequently (ex: whipped cream recipe changed just a couple weeks ago). If you’re a shift, you’ll likely be on CS, warming, or DTO as those are the easiest positions from which to do admin work (like the order or pulling food or planning out the floor/breaks), so really focus there.
