When I first started working SB I had a wonderful manager who actually cared about me and my partner's wellbeing. She took me off openings because I would throw up in the early morning and told off my shift one time, after he stated to yell at me to go faster, and I just silently took it. She also stood up to stupid customers. Loved her.
After I moved, I lost her and now have a manager who transferred from a completely different working environment, (not even food), to Starbucks. She didn't know about not opening and closing alone. She re-aranged the back multiple times without consulting baristas. She doesn't scrubb dishes. She micro-manages. She schedules me on my days off or 6 days a week, regardless of my medical limits. The stark comparison between the managers I had and the experience between them makes a world of difference in how a store is run.
So, no, not at first, but the little things are sticking hard now.
