Notes For Cups (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by MadiHatter531
Hey y'all,

A while back I started writing notes on the cups of drinks I was handing out when I was on DTR or DTO that I was expediting. Every time I did so in the past, it made our customers incredibly happy and seeing them uplifted was so amazing and a refreshing break from the more difficult people. I want to start doing it again, but I've run out of ideas on what to write. Anyone got any ideas of short but powerful messages that I could use?

Stay strong out there Partners!

It really is. I've had so many people say something along the lines of, "You have no idea what kind of a week I've had, thank you for the kind message." That is why I want to start doing it more frequently. In these times we have to act as an escape for people because, sometimes, we are the only escape they have from their own lives, even if it is just a single drink. We are required to be present so we might as well make that escape as great as possible.

Sometimes I do short movie quotes, or just positive quotes or really non-funny dad jokes. People seem to like the coffee puns best🙂

I'll definitely have to look into finding some of those. Puns really are a great way to go, now that I'm thinking about it. Thanks so much for the ideas!

During the first part of the shut down I worked in a DT and for the names I would put coffee puns, like “thanks a latte” if the got a bacon Gouda I’d put “have a Gouda day!” It was fun and even if the customers didn’t notice, it made the baristas laugh!
