Hey there! I have trained 16 people and a handful of training help so I love to give advice to new trainers. The first thing to remember is that the person is probably going to forget most of the things they learn, your training is to help them get basics and for muscle memory. Of course that isnt an excuse to not show something, even if they forget, the memory may come back later. It's really important to explain why we do specific things (like one less pump of vanilla in a caramel macchiato is important because the caramel drizzle keeps the sweetness of the extra pump). Mostly just making your trainee feel like they belong and they can do it is important. It's really not too difficult to train as long as you both care about the job. Good luck, I'm sure you will do great!

This happened to me too!! You’ll have to retake the barista basics and a few other things but overall I think that it’s easy once you know what your trainees style of learning is! The more you get to know your trainee the better that relationship will be and the more comfortable you’ll both feel. Also never be afraid to ask others questions while you’re training. It helps the trainee know that they can also ask others if they forget something. That’s just my point of view on it but it helped me with my trainee☺️
