submitted by [deleted]
for christmas my mom got me starbucks flavour syrups and ground espresso. i want to repurchase but like, i really don’t want to be a karen asking you guys to do a bunch of extra stuff.
do you guys hate ppl who come in buying bottles of syrup? like my mom literally asked the barista to ground the espresso for her and it was really good but do you guys hate customers like that? should i just try to find syrup online or do you guys regularly get ppl purchasing syrups n stuff
like i just don’t want to inconvenience you guys 🥺

I grind coffee every 20 minutes, it's no hassle at all. Some stores only offer few flavors, some more, and some not at all. My store for example only sells Vanilla, and only if we have enough. Some stores sell Vanilla, Caramel.

Grinding the coffee is part of the job, and it's okay if you buy your espresso at the store. In my country we don't sell the syrups but I imagine it would be totally fine. Just look at it as edible merchandise you're buying😉

Grinding coffee is something we offer and even have computer buttons to ring it in! You can absolutely ask for it ground, we’re more than happy to do so and will usually ask if you want beans purchased there to be ground. Just know it has to be beans purchased in that store- for covid safety as far as putting random beans from god knows where into our general use coffee grinder lmao. Starbucks actually started out just selling beans in Pike Place Market and it wasn’t until later that they sold coffee! It’s fairly common for people to just purchase beans from us because we can grind it and offer recommendations for new blends and roasts to try.

Syrups really depend. We can only sell syrups that 1. Have a barcode to scan and 2. We have enough in stock. For example, the limited time Irish Cream does not have a barcode nor do we have many bottles so that would be a no on both conditions. Vanilla is usually a safe bet and the most common one purchased.

As long as I don’t have to find you a pump for your syrup buy away!

don’t worry about us grinding the coffee! it really doesn’t take long and it’s part of da job. as for syrups it’s really not a nuisance to order!

we grind coffee all day :) it’s not a hassle and we sell the beans and offer to grind them every time. in my store we sell most syrups, any of the ones with barcodes so I’d just ask whoever rings you up if the store sells em, if not they’re online and I’ve seen some overstock at places like TJmaxx before

yes it’s no problem at all!! we sell every syrup (not sauces though) at my location, and pretty often too!

We can only sell you the syrups if they have a barcode and we have enough in stock! This means that unfortunately you cannot buy sauces (white mocha or holiday ones like caramel brûlée) and you can’t buy holiday syrups :( for coffee just make sure you buy in store because we can’t grind other beans due to COVID but it’s part of our job so don’t worry about asking!

Grinding coffee is no hassle at all and it only takes like 2min haha. As for syrups, the flavors available to purchase vary from store to store but that's no hassle either.
