Customer asked if we wanted girl Scout cookies...(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by sdkid92
Yep today a customer walked in right as a morning rush was starting wanted to know if we wanted Girl Scout cookies. We were super excited. Asking us which ones we like. We occasionally have lovely regulars who bring us pastries and cookies so we were super excited to be offered cookies on a cold rainy day. Him and his daughter come back in from the car with an entire box filled with every kind of Girl Scout cookie. “Wow thanks we really appreciate it”, we all said trying to multitask and give the thoughtful guests out full attention while still getting through our morning rush. He puts the box on our handoff and says it’s 5 dollars a box. Excuse me? You asked if we wanted cookies. Not if we wanted to buy any. I was working on a cold beverage just as he came to hand off so my other coworkers had to awkwardly explain that we thought they were offering any. “No sorry we don’t have cash on us” they had to explain. He then has the nerve to lean back over towards me and asks if I still wanted any? “NO”. Dude you just embarrassed your daughter so hard and got our hopes up. Who tries to sell product inside a business without permission. Ima gonna be thinking about this when I go to bed tonight. Why are people like this.

Not only is it weird that he’s trying to sell cookies inside of a business but especially when you guys are already busy.... “Okay everybody stop making drinks and gather up your cash so we can buy these cookies”
