Does anyone know if its a standard? My manager (actually a very nice lady) is sure that we aren't allowed because of standards, but if it isn't im sure she'll allow it!

It's not standard to batch but cool managers and shifts are more understanding. Specially when it's dumb to wants faster dto times and good customer connections when we get huge orders like this. Even more so when the store only has one blender.

It’s against the rules to batch anything but honestly its a cup of blended sugar water. If it really impacted the flavor I wouldn’t do it but it doesn’t if they’re all the same and when you’re busy making sure people aren’t waiting for ten minutes is definitely more important to prioritize.

I kind of imagine it’s against the rules just because people might combine different sizes (which do have different proportions in each) or slightly different orders together and it’s easier to make it flat out against the rules than argue specifics. That’s just an educated guess though.

Sadly it isn’t standard. My store focuses a lot on doing everything to standard so if you’re caught double batching our SM will be on your ass.

A venti frap is literally two talls. Does that mean a venti frap is lower in quality? I agree that it gets weird if you combine two grandes.

At my DT corporate store we batched EVERYTHING. Now I’m at license store that I love, but we are not allowed to batch and it kills my soul sometimes when we are slammed and I have lots of the same drinks lined up. We are allowed to batch tall Frappuccino’s though since they are equivalent to a venti.

I do it anyway. It's ridiculous. Starbucks shouldn't even have drive thru's. We aren't a fast-food restaurant. They better not complain about window times either if they don't like batch fraps.

I can understand wanting to keep frappuccinos that have shots of espresso in them separate (like if two grande caramel fraps had a shot each in them), otherwise not double batching is stupid and lacks any common sense.

I still batch even if both frapps have a shot each. Throw a double shot in there and call it a day. Although its a bit different if one has one and the other doesnt. I batch, pour the one that doesnt get the shot out, throw the shot in, blend again and then pour that one out.

If a customer orders any shots in their frap I just like to make sure they get all of the shot they payed for. And adding more shots to the mixture already either makes it too watery oooooor there is too much left over that won't fit in the cup (as I add just a dash more ice to get the consistency otherwise they bring it back and complain I'd just rather avoid that altogether.)
But that is just me I guess. When I worked for a proudly serves SB in Barnes and Noble my manager told us not to if they had shots and that is how I justified it in my head haha
But I'm not telling my coworkers at the regular SB store I work at now it would be rather nitpicky of me especially if I'm not in a position that I can say that to any of my coworkers and it mattering haha

She's a manager at a fast food place down the street and gets these for her opening crew, but normally she'll get, like, 8 fraps and 2 other drinks. So when she started the transaction by saying, "I've got a big order today!" I felt chills go down my spine.
