Lol I don’t doubt they’re indestructible. They look like an otter box. I just wish they would stay on my apron and that they weren’t so loud.

i can proudly say i’ve broken multiple of the new ones😌. i dropped one in water, accidentally left one in my 10°F car over night and threw one to a partner and accidentally smashed it on the ground. i’m unlucky lol

I like the new ones. They don't break as much, and it's harder to ignore them and makes it more likely that people actually wash their hands every 30 minutes.

As some who was constantly on CS during my tenure at Starbucks, I put the old times threw hell, and only needed to change the batteries once in a while.

I no longer serve along aide y’all, but I do express my disappointment in the old company for this betrayal.

My main complaint is that they don’t clip on to the metal band around the brewer spout. So I try balancing it on top and it just feels insecure lol

Isn’t the point of them being loud so you can hear them? It’s an Alarm. It Alarms you.

As for your apron, why not keep it in the pocket, or secure it with something?

Then wrap it in a thick layer of plastic rather than complain about an intended feature. It’s designed to be heard.

Something that people at our store do sometimes (despite not being supposed to) is keep it on the brewer.

Otherwise, maybe look into yourself and ask why you’re so easily startled. Maybe you have a lot going on, and you become often lost in your thoughts- The sudden burst of noise on your chest jolting you out of your trance-like state.

Consider what you can and help yourself.

Keep in mind also that I disagree with you, but don’t dislike you any more or less because of that. Don’t let this disagreement burden you.
