I feel this... it's annoying because I always get people early in the morning handing me 50s and 100 dollar bills 😒
Even if we didn't have a shortage, they should be considerate and give smaller bills. If you need change for such a high amount, go to the bank.

At my store we can’t take anything above a $20 unless their total allowed us to do so. So if someone’s order was $30+ we could take a $50 and if their order was $75+ we could take a $100. And my SM put this in before the change shortage. I now tell people with big bills that the only way I’ll take it is if they put the money on a gift card

I wish ours did that. Someone paid for one drink with a $100 bill and I struggled to make change- I had to get my shift to help me lmaooo

Really? This is still an issue some places? We have like $50 in pennies in the safe and it’s driving me crazy. We have had to zero out pennies on every change order for months.
Also our tills are parred to $250 so the only thing that is really an issue is $100 early in the morning, but we can usually take anything.

Yea all we have at my store are mostly pennies. There are days that we barley have quarters. I’m constantly having to tell people who pay in cash that I might not have chafe for them so they might be a few cents short

Dang :(. We have normal amounts of everything plus the pennies. I tried to convince the manager to let me give people rolls of pennies as change.

We are always short on change, including bills!! But I’m in a part of town where a lot of people get paid with cash.. so turning down their $50 or $100 sucks because a lot of the times they just leave.. our manager told us we’re not allowed to turn them down, and we give them the drink(s) if we can’t make change.

When people try to give me $50 and $100 bills I tell them they need to put that money on a gift card first
