So I’ve been a barista for almost a year and a half and life has been very stressful. I I used 2 sessions last yr but I forgot if they renew it every yr or is it just 20 sessions? I need more than just counselling but I have to talk to someone about that when I see them again. I don’t use Starbucks insurance since I’m still in college and using my parents insurance. Have any of you seeked more than just a counsellor?

Starbucks gives everyone the 20 sessions on Lyra regardless of whether they have insurance or not. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t renew with the year but you should still be able to use your other 18 sessions. I would start there and then ask them for resources for additional help with a psychoanalyst/psychologist if you feel like you need it! For that appointment you’d probably have to use your parents insurance to avoid out of pocket costs.

Apparently some therapists are Lyra approved. Like I think it depends on if they’re in the Lyra network and if they are you can use your sessions instead of insurance.

The renewal for sessions was last October (20th I believe) so if op used their sessions before that date then they’re back at 20 sessions.

The Lyra sessions are set for 20 so if you used 2 before the reset date you’re back at 20.

Have you reached out to your colleges mental health unit? That might be a good idea.

No I haven’t. I just transferred to a university but I will. Thank you I totally forgot about that

In addition, Lyra therapists aren’t all exclusive to Lyra, so if you find somebody you like you could see if your insurance would cover your therapy.
