work shoes suggestions? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by k_8_lyn
well my work shoes from my last job have finally given out after almost 3 years. i'm looking for some new comfortable work shoes for sbux that will keep my feet from hurting but not drain my bank account. also preferably non-slips!.. any suggestions on what has worked well for you?

I know, I know... But I stand by my Non-slip sketchers. I find them to be cheaper than other shoes and the ones I have are basically just tennis shoes. Not too bulky or heavy, and they look the least ugly of the work shoes I've seen 🤷🏼‍♀️

Shoes for crews and closed crocs are my go to. Ugly? Maybe. Worth it to see my green beans laughing at my doughnut crocs? Absolutely

Dr. Scholls! They are pricey but frequently go on sale. I’ve gotten a pair as cheap as $30 and the most I’ve paid is $50. They come in so many styles (some pretty cute!), some are non slip and most are within dress code. Yes they don’t last superrrr long but pretty decent imo. I’ve been working for a little over two years. I use my work shoes as everyday shoes as well. And in those two years I’ve only had 3 pairs. They are SO comfy and my feet very rarely ever hurt.

I'm always hard on my work shoes so I tend to replace them about every year and a half. We get a discount with sketchers though, they have quite a few options for nonslip work shoes. That's where I go because it's just cheaper that way and they tend to last longer than super cheap shoes. I think you can go to any store and just tell them you work at Starbucks. I'm pretty sure they just asked me to show them my work schedule or something that shows I work at Starbucks.

I'm positive there's a way to do it online as well. I think it's through sbuxben or something? Maybe someone else can chime in on that.
