listen I don’t mind making tik tok drinks, especially the raspberry lemonade with strawberry acai or whatever. but!
1. if it doesn’t taste right that’s not on us. idk why customers will taste it and then come back asking for a refund. it’s not a starbucks recipe.
2. most these drinks are trying to do the “pay less” hack and then end up paying more with all the extra add ons. and then get mad when the price is more than a normal / average drink.
the drinks are pretty tho

The price thing is always my problem. Nobody EVER puts a disclaimer in their videos about how much the drink costs. And I recognize that prices are different at different locations, but even a rough estimate would be enough to put some people off of ordering the drink in the first place.
And the times they DO put prices, it’s always when they say it costs $1.80 for a Venti Water with one scoop of all the fruits or some shit, but we really have to charge them for a Custom Iced Tea.

Ugh, the custom tea is a huge issue at my store. Not only do I have a lot of green beans to remind but I’m tired of dealing with Karens screeching about being charged for “water”.

I saw someone do a TikTok and in the comments people asked how much it costs. I forget the drink, but the tiktoker said it was a $4 drink. I looked it up on mobile and it was definitely $6+. Like why would lie to people about it???

What screen is the custom tea button on?
aimsthename889 points2y ago
It’s right below the regular iced teas (black/green/passion tango).
BatWeary3 points2y ago
same page as the hot teas

thankful the strawberry inclusions in water isn’t a thing at my store yet
supr_cooper2 points2y ago
It's definitely at my store. Five people ordered d it today, and three left when they found out it would cost 2.65
Imnewtoit1 points2y ago
I had a 9 year old ask for this on Sunday. I said, I am sorry we don't do that at this store.
imeanitpeanut1 points2y ago
I had one customer get that for his toddler years ago before tic tok existed, but haven’t seen it since.

Favorite is when I give someone the price of two drinks and it comes up to fifteen something.
Then the immediate, “I’m sorry I only ordered two of them.”
It’s like yeah I know but then you decided to add every possible condiment plus four extra shots and foam. So idk maybe grab a Chai?
TheRedditTeacher18 points2y ago
I think you shouldn't be able to get a refund when you change more then 3 things from the recipe. I mean, al the things I see on here with 40 pumps of syrup.. Of course it doesn't taste right...

Honestly I feel like a lot of these people forget that Starbucks drinks are made by hand. Yeah, a "splash" of this or "extra" of that is gonna vary based on the barista. I've even had customers say their standard drinks taste different with all the different baristas making it. Then of course if it's not a menu item, I'm not making any promises it tastes good. If it's on the menu and it "doesnt taste right" sure, but if this is your first time getting a 10 modification tik tok drink and it "doesnt taste right" idk what to tell ya at that point
gabbysafari6 points2y ago
for a lot of these drinks since there’s nothing even comparable on the menu, there are no standards in place. especially when they ask for a “spash” of something, like of course you’ll get a different amount of each ingredient every time!!!

When I see people do this I always tell them to put the cost of everything
