Clothes. Don’t look like a slob. Maybe nice jeans and a polo.

We had a guy come in for his interview in a full suit. Was he overdressed? Yes. Did he get the job? Yes. Coincidence? I think not.

The recommendation I’ve heard is to find out the dress code of the place you’re interviewing for and then dress it up a couple notches. I think that nice jeans with a button up shirt or a sweater in dark or more neutral colors would do well! You want to dress to impress, but you probably don’t have to wear a suit or something. I was taught to always dress to impress. Slacks and a nice button up, hair in a nice up do, but nothing too fancy and anything but sneakers.

First impressions really matter. You're basing everything off of this interview and your resume. Make yourself memorable.

I wore a tank top with a button up cardigan(buttoned) over it, jeans(without rips), and boots and i got the job!
