So I currently work at a Starbucks in a neighboring state, the minimum wage is lower there. I’m thinking of transferring to a store in my state where the minimum wage is higher. I’m currently getting paid 10.50, but I heard the starting wage in my state was 13.50; but the minimum wage in my state is 10.00. So I’m not sure if they’re going to keep me at 10.50 or bring me up, cause it technically is above minimum wage. I still haven’t talked to my SM about this, mainly because I’m not sure if my wage would go up. Plus I’m not sure if any stores near my area are hiring.
