We have a legit "crying corner" I'm not in at the minute due to covid closures so can't get a pic, but one of my colleagues got a hold of a label maker one day and just went mad

Me looking at my nine hour shift tomorrow knowing I can cry as much as I want 🙃

Cried today while on front bar. In front of customers, while making drinks. But my lunch break was a few minutes away so I just avoided eye contact with customers and pushed through. Told my shift after and she sent me to C.S. so I could go to the back whenever I needed to and no one would question where I was cuz I could just say dishes.

Conversation with Trainee i had literally yesterday:
Girl I’m training: “I just get so overwhelmed, I want to cry.”
Me: “It’s stressful. My first happy hour I cried at that table *points to table in lobby* for my whole lunch break.”

The scream room! (Aka, storage pantry when I used to work at a restaurant. The void into which all screams go. That and walking fridges.)

At my Starget, that’s the deli cooler we keep the milks in. Both deli and Starbucks teams know there’s no shame in dipping there if you’re having a panic attack or need a minute
