Mobile Order and Pay (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Artemis1919
Hi, I’m training a new partner right now. She’s not the first I’ve trained, but every time I sit through the online modules with them, I listen to the mobile order and pay video. The module and video say that mobile order and pay is a dedicated position that a partner is planted in. Does this actually happen at stores????? I can’t imagine my only responsibility is to just hand out drinks to people who mobile ordered.

Mobile order "concierge" is a planted portion when there are enough partners in the play :/ That title is something that they just started rolling out in the past 3 months tho

At my cafe store, we had a planted handoff person on Fridays bc it got so crazy at our tiny handoff. At my new drive thru store the play builder won’t even give me a bar 2 so imma say it depends on your store.

My store is drive thru and cafe. We don’t have someone that does that. But if our bar partners are busy af someone that isn’t as busy can usually stop what they’re doing and go hand off mobile orders (to better clarify. It’s almost always whoever is doing cs that does the hand off.)

There are some stores I can see this being helpful but at my store we would never have enough partners for this lmao

My one store did on certain days and times due to volume of incoming mobiles. It would probably depend on the store and how busy of a store you are at

my store is cafe only so about 70% of our daily business is MO&P so we usually have someone at handoff who is also in charge of filling Cold Brew/Nitro since it's right there.

We have front and cafe bar handle mobile orders so it’s not one designated person. While it’s mostly those 2 positions sometimes other baristas help if they can if front or cafe bar can’t get to it.

my store is mostly mobile orders, and we almost always have a dedicated handoff person, at least in the mornings, and especially with covid!
