Honestly probably cheaper than going to the store and buying heavy cream. Heavy cream is expensive asf.

It’s one of those after-work nights, so I decided to do a bit of research for the heck of it. A venti cup of milk at my store costs around $3. A trenta-sized carton of heavy cream costs $1.76 at the grocery store around the corner. Whoever is buying milk cups at Starbucks instead of the grocery store likely has more money than I ever will in my life or is just impulsive.

I just want to know where you’re at that your heavy cream is 10x cheaper

I live in Houston. It may be we have tons of cows in this state. Check H‑E‑B’s catalog if you’re curious about our prices.

I too lived in Houston, and eve the tiny cartons of HC were over $2, and the large ones (grande size-ish) were over $5.

Several decades in the past apparently? Lol. Cheapest I’ve ever been able to find was store comes out to just under 30 cents/oz so a “trenta” would be close to $9

Same. A 16 oz at my local store is 349 for the store brand. I just buy half and half for my recipes now lol

yeah i feel like someone was probably baking today and just needed it but not enough to buy a whole carton

Just switch it out for evaporated milk. Cheaper and less calories too.

I’ve had a partner at my store do this as his mark out because he was baking that day 😂

The other day I was half tempted to use my partner drink to get milk cause I wanted cereal.
OhMyKrishna1 points2y ago
Is that not allowed?? I did it all the time!
happydayz3951 points2y ago
I'm sure it's allowed- it was just too dang cold for me to leave the house on my day off lol.
