I told my manager as soon as I knew I needed to transfer. There’s some forms to fill out and it might take some searching around for stores in the new area that are hiring/work with you school schedule. The manager of the store I was transferring to also called me and spoke to me on the phone, not really an interview but just wanted to get to know me a little before accepting the transfer. It was a relatively easy process.
