Green bean here wondering about markouts! (self.starbucksbaristas)

So I've recently started working with Starbucks, and I've been here for about 3 weeks. I'm really enjoying it so far!
I'm just wondering how we can add our partner numbers to the starbucks app?
Also, what exactly are our markouts? At my store we get 1 pound of free coffee each week, one free food item per shift, and unlimited free drinks while on shift. Yet, I see people refering to their "free drink markouts" and just... what exactly is that? How many do we get/how do we use them?

You get what you’ve said + one drink and one food on days you’re not working. That’s the “drink markouts”. You can’t use the app for the free items though!

I was never shown how to do markouts? I've only had like two drinks while on shift but I just made them and nobody said anything

for mark outs you go to discount (it’s on the bottom left when paying) and then it says partner beverage/food/mark out/discount so you choose the one you’re using and then put in your numbers! but same i know we get unlimited drinks while working but i always just make them i’m not sure if i have to mark those out or not

Because of covid Starbucks started letting partners get one free drink and one free food item when they’re not working. You can get them at any corporate Starbucks location and I believe it’s extended until the end of March. You can add your partner numbers into the app and it will automatically give you the discount at check out. The only thing is it doesn’t take off the free drink, food, or pound of coffee just the 30% discount.

You can go online to the partner hub (the same place we view our paystubs online) and go to the partner card section and add the numbers and stuff from there to your Starbucks app. If you don’t want to give your numbers out cuz you’re in a public area you can have them go to the “partner discount” button and scan your partner card and still get your mark out, the only real benefit to that is you don’t have to ask for ID if they’re using their partner card.
