I had the most horrifying experience a few days ago and I really wish I knew how to get corporates attention to change the policy, but I am tired of serving people who comes through the drive thru without a mask. 99% of the time they are not 6 feet away from me.
But this really did it for me. I was handing out drinks to this middle-aged man who was in his truck with his daughters. After the second drink he starts sneezing uncontrollably, no mask, but that’s not even the worst part. My window is open and he is sneezing towards me. I couldn’t even close the window or move because I was DTO and I get yelled at if I ever move when I’m planted. Anyway, I felt so violated and disgusted. I wanted to spray myself down with disinfectant after.
So if anyone would like to start a petition, I would actually be willing to organize it.

Same. I was surprised when masks were not required on DT. I wanted to ask people to wear one but I know some would go crazy on me.

I know some customers do their part but others make it a point to not wear it and be SO CLOSE to me

This is why I always wear a mask when I go through a drive thru of any kind. I ALWAYS see people going through without masks, and it drives me crazy. Just because you’re in your car and technically not in the building does not mean that you’re not going to pass along germs regardless. I don’t care how ridiculous it looks to the cars behind me, my personal outlook is, “if this employee has to wear a mask at the window to protect my safety, then I’m going to wear one too.” Just know that even though there’s a lot of people who don’t wear masks through your drive thru, there’s still some of us who gladly will!! I don’t wanna risk getting you sick either!!

my manager says we aren’t allowed to enforce masks in the drive thru bc they’re not technically in our store. stupid as hell. love my customers that do wear them

One day a guy coughed in his hard as I was handing out his drink and he just reached out and grabbed it, fingers wrapping around mine. I felt so violated 😭

Some states mandate them and I believe there will or is a federal mandate to wear masks.

i live in mi and it’s freezing up here rn and lemme tell u the worst part is seeing the breath cloud come at you from a mask less persons car like aren’t they aware how nasty they’re being !!
