I work at a DT store, and on my district we are only open for DT or Grab and go. No indoor seating for the time being (it’s been at least 3 months of no seating). And yet customers have been constantly and consistently rude in the way they treat myself and my partners. There are literally signs everywhere saying there is no seating, and people still ask “oh so I can’t sit down?” No, Bob. You can’t. We’re grab and Go. Like, seriously? Read the room people!

I feel your pain. My location is cafe only and people will ignore the signs and the chairs are propped on the tables to where they can't sit but they still pull down the chair and sit! We told a lady to stand up and put the chair back and she left to tell her husband who came in to cuss out our shift. People are so dense and lazy

It's like they see the signs on the tables and chairs propped up and go, hmm, tables MUST be open for me to sit at and take my mask off. But it's not MY fault for not reading the sign. Obviously these employees hate me and make up lies!!! Also im tired of people asking when the tables will be open again. I dont know or care, Carole.

Our chairs and tables are legitimately chained together with bright yellow chains + the ‘seating area closed’ stickers and people STILL try and sit and have the nerve to get huffy when we say they can’t

"Thank you for calling Starbucks! This is Rose, how can I help you?"
"Uh, yeah, do you have indoor seating?"
"Nope! All indoor seating in the \[city\] area is closed due to the pandemic, but you can sit outside!"
"Okay, thanks."
Repeat at least once and often up to three times daily.
Someone enters the cafe-only store and looks around.
"So when are y'all opening up seating again?"
"We have no plans to re-open seating anytime soon, at least until the city downgrades from stage 5 pandemic protocols"
"Oh."
Or my favorite response to that statement, "Oh are we still doing stages? I didn't know we were doing stages still."

We have at LEAST 20 signs on all of our seating (pushed to the far side of the cafe) that say the table is closed but people will literally sit on the signs.
