The only real perk a trainer gets is a $75 (atleast in my are) bonus if the new partner stays for a certain period of time. Other than that you’re a regular barista, however. You are expected to follow closer to corporate standards, and because you’re constantly teaching them to new highers, parts (even shifts) will be asking for guidance on what the standards are.

At my store, my trainer got two $25 dollar gift cards to (I think) Wawa. Not a very groovy bonus. And not cash.
