Shift team (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by _dorothyhm_
I’m part of the shift team at my store. And there’s two shifts who are best friends. And they both openly bully me at the store. And it doesn’t bother me. But the baristas and it makes them uncomfortable and because of this it’s hard to gain respect from people. My store manager knows and they’ve had multiple talks with them but their behaviour doesn’t seem to change. The worst part is that I’m really good friends with some baristas and I can’t tell them about what’s going on because they have to work with these shifts and they shouldn’t have my opinions influencing them. Does anyone have any advice on what to do or how to improve me situation?

I would highly suggest calling or emailing ethics and compliance. If it has gone to the rate like said, would suggest to contact them. It will take time for them to contact and investigate but no need for hostility like that, and especially in a time like this. Instances like describe I personally keep it on record to recall the dates in a orderly fashion and try to have witnesses to it. But I hope all is well.

Did you try talking to the shifts first?? I’d talk to them! Tell them what’s up. :) hope you get it figured out though!!!
