Question about the vanilla creme steamer?(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by canidieyet_
I was told it was made with vanilla bean powder, but new baristas are being told it’s made with vanilla syrup? We both were trained by the same person. I imagine it’s probably better with the VB steamed in the milk than just being mixed with pumps of vanilla, but I’m just curious. Is it made with vanilla syrup or the vanilla bean powder?

Bets it’s 100 times better with the powder!

While you could use powder, I guess, ‘steamers’ are Syrup Cremes if I remember my training correctly.

a steamed milk with vanilla is just steamed milk and vanilla syrup.
a vanilla creme is steamed milk, vanilla, and whipped cream.
