Can people just come in with huge groups or is it okay for me to split them up? Cafe store here(self.starbucksbaristas)

We only have seven squares for people to stand on at our small cafe store.
I was just wondering when people show up with more than 4-5 people is it rude or okay for me to ask them to either come in two at a time, or just pick 1-2 people? My shift usually just tells me no more than 7 people in store but often people are showing up in larger than 3 groups. Was just wanting some insight thank you!

We had 14 drinks in one order the other day. What we did was take in 6 people at a time, and they waited outside except for 2 people to run drinks back and forth.
Worked like a dream, but it helps that they were pleasant to deal with.

When we get busy and have alot of people waiting for mobiles or cafe orders and it’s getting crowded we ask that big parties have one person in the store and everyone else outside.
