Looking to start as a morning barista! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by unforg1veable
Hi, I’m interested in working at Starbucks as I think it would be conducive with my school schedule. I was wondering if all locations open at the same time or if they differ per location? And what time does an opener have to be there in the morning?

at my store we open at 5 and get there at 4:30 so it may slightly differ depending on location

We open at 5:30 so openers get in at 5am. Starbucks can work with your availability

Awesome thank you

It varies by store. My store opens to customers at 3:30am so openers get there at 3am. In general, openers get there 30 mins before the store opens to customers. Most stores open to customers between 3:30am-6am.

We get there at 4am, but managers prefer more hours

I work at a store kiosk as an opener and I’m there at 5:00 too. They’re also pretty flexible with a schedule

I’ll be available Tuesday - fri 5a-8a, and sat 5-9a . Do you think they would work with such a small window?

When I applied they were looking for an opener so that’s an important part to look at. I know at my store personally they like to schedule at least 4 hour shifts but it all depends on the manager. I think mine would be okay with it because the mid would be in by then. But like I said it all depends on the store and the manager it never hurts to apply

4 hours is usually the shortest shift people will be scheduled for. If you could do 5-9am every day and the store you're applying to needs openers, you might have a chance. Usually managers look for more open availability though.

Totally depends on the exact store you’re applying to, but they usually seem to prefer more hours available
