If you don't use your vacation hours before leaving the job, do you just lose them or do they give you a check/add it to your pay paycheck? (self.starbucksbaristas)

It depends on the state laws and then from there you’re job. I work in a state where jobs do not have to pay out PTO but my job did when I left recently :)

My husband seems to be sure that we live in a state that does, but what do you mean when you say it also depends on the job?
If the state allows the payout, certain companies can reduce to anyway??

pretty positive you just lose them! so use them up if you're planning on quitting but i would recommend doing so before you tell your manager you're quitting
