Any bonus in Canada for becoming a certified barista trainer? (self.starbucksbaristas)

My SM just asked me if I wanted to become a certified barista trainer and train our new partner in March. I’m really excited about this opportunity as I’ve only been with Starbucks for 3 months. Is there any kind of benefit to becoming a certified barista trainer? Pay raise? Bonus? Or just a pat on the back? I live in British Columbia so looking for info regarding BC and Canada specifically. Thanks!!!

You get a bonus everytime you train a new partner. I think it’s around 100$? It’s added onto your pay cycle. It’s also a great step in promoting to a supervisor! Do it :) it was an amazing opportunity for me

well said, it’s a huge part of development not only for the green bean but for yourself. i learned a lot about myself training, personal and as a barista. lots of things can slip your mind after a while working for the company.
