My store went through our oat milk so fast, too many “partner samples” lol.
mernam32 points2y ago
My manager taped them and wrote on the tape. “Please don’t drink. I see you. I love you guys but don’t drink them” and then wrote down how many there are lmao
deeciphered3 points2y ago
We’ve used so many already
draahstopter30 points2y ago
I’ve never been more excited for a launch!! It’s sucks that they come in quarts though. Just sampling the drinks among partners and we’ve already gone through like 7 lol
foxyfit23 points2y ago
I'm thrilled at the new addition but dreading finding space for it in our already crowded front of house fridges. Plus, the fact that the boxes are so tiny means we're going to being opening up a new one every two seconds.
JustAnotherRyan56 points2y ago
I assume most Starbucks fridges are about the same size. We fit 6 gallons on the top shelf (2 nonfat and 4 2%) and then about 5 oat milks fit lined up next to them. Our bottom shelf has the almond, coconut, and soy (3 of each) and then 2 whole milks and 2 half and half’s but those sometimes change and we squeeze VSC in wherever we can haha! Hopefully that helps! We have had oat milk here in California for a while now
givemeapples1 points2y ago
Piping in with our stores set up for some more ideas - our front has 4 gallons on top shelf, and 3 each of coco, soy and almond, 6 gallons on bottom shelf with 5 oats on the side. So we have a similar set up with the 6 gallons and oats on the side!
TherudestLiz2 points2y ago
Where do you keep whips? I don’t think we could change things up (like moving whole milk to the bottom) but maybe......lol. Our bottom shelf has the non-dairy and whips. We keep half and half and HC in the DT fridge lol
sungoode2 points2y ago
my store keeps 4 2% and 2 no fats in the top of the fridge, half and half, HC, and non dairies on the bottom and then in cold bar fridge we have 6 wholes on top and whips/ VSC on the bottom and then our refresher fridge with lemonade and apple juice
givemeapples2 points2y ago
We keep whips in the cold bar fridge. We are a high volume store, so the hot bar borrows a whip for both drive and cafe bar and we keep it on the counter until it runs out lol

Former barista here, does anyone happen to know if it’s no sugar added? 😁
Lanky-Chart46624 points2y ago
yes!
sarah15913 points2y ago
Thank you! 😁
Jefferysaveme2 points2y ago
Oatly has about 4-6g added sugar per cup, can’t remember exactly how much. Ik cause I usually choose this or almond milk since our soy has a unnecessary amount of sugar added
sunshineandsarcasm4 points2y ago
They don’t add sugar at all, it’s just how the oats are processed or something. They have the info on their site!
CalDoesMaths3 points2y ago
It’s so much better than the soy. I love soy milk but the sweetened stuff, especially the Starbucks kind is so ridiculously sweet
kizzythaboss1 points2y ago
It's 7. I looked at it after googling the new drink and seeing they actually consider it a health conscious drink. Soy only has like 4 I think. Coconut and almond are lower too. Hell, even the 2% is lower.
Jefferysaveme1 points2y ago
No I thought soy had at least 7! Ik it has like 13-14g total
kizzythaboss1 points2y ago
My coworker corrected me, it was fat content, not sugar. The othe stuff still stands tho. I think almond has 7. I'll have to check it again when I get to work tomorrow.
Fozzybean1 points2y ago
It’s the highest sugar non dairy we have at 16 grams per serving. Almond is the lowest at 6.
HippieinBlack8 points2y ago
I can’t lie, I’ve been enjoying drinking my oat milk lattes before all the customers! 😂
linipanini8 points2y ago
Yay!!! We’ve had it in the Midwest for a lil bit and it’s the only dairy alternative I’ll drink now 🥰
Weak-Upstairs-91784 points2y ago
Question: is it actually being launched as a permanent non-dairy so it’ll be on the menu??
givemeapples2 points2y ago
Correct
ComradeSnowball_4 points2y ago
How many cases of yours were gone already? Cant sell till March 3rd, but my partners already went through one crate LOL
pettyanon124 points2y ago
What area are you in? We got oat milk a while back
interyx2 points2y ago
I'm in South Carolina personally, we got our first shipment this week.
I guess our market is so small we get everything absolutely last.
perfectinsomniac-iz3 points2y ago
It’s so weird that everyone is is just getting this haha. It’ll be nice to not have to search to find it on POS tho
deadfliesinsummer2 points2y ago
So happy they’re nationwide now. Have had em since I started and my morning latte is always oatmilk (dairy lattes just don’t do my tummy well and other alt milks aren’t so good). Oatmilk ROCKS I always recommend it to ppl
kizzythaboss2 points2y ago
Wait, you don't get to order oat milk freely? My Starbucks has like 6 cases in the cooler right now. And another 3 are on the way because of that goofy ass new drink. We drink oat milk regularly. 🤷🏾♀️
SectorPowerful2 points2y ago
We use the “Earths Own” Barista edition oat milk at our store in Toronto, and I am OBSSESSED! Iced Chai with 2Blonde shots and Oat milk are my current go-to!
thebeancakes2 points2y ago
Haven't got around to trying oat milk out yet, do y'all recommend it for cold or hot drinks?
sstcyr2 points2y ago
I was disappointed, I didn't like it :<
Also it absolutely wrecked 4 of my baristas stomachs, which was weird
Jc_Worley2 points2y ago
We aren’t allowed to touch ours but I am so excited!
littleketone2 points2y ago
If anyone wants to buy it, they sell it at Whole Foods! I know Target carries the blue-boxxed one, but I’ve purchased the “barista edition” one from Whole Foods! Not sure what the difference is.
hufflepuffisonfleek3 points2y ago
I just googled it and it says the barista edition has more fat so it’s better for making drinks. Barista edition is 3% fat regular is 2% fat
imeanitpeanut2 points2y ago
Why do you have a thermometer on your metro shelf?
the1noir4 points2y ago
It looks like a walk-in fridge.
erectopatronum11 points2y ago
My manager put two containers aside for partner samples, and we've nearly gone through them both and it's only the second day since she put them out.
ZacW940 points2y ago
Can it really be called milk if it: 1. didn't come from am animal; and 2. doesn't contain dairy? More like oat beverage.
